ADVICE AND WARRANTIES
CONTACT LENS

Even if the lenses are not worn every day, the recommended replacement schedule should be followed. Disinfection methods cannot guarantee the safety of the lenses after the approved period.
Maintenance

It is important to always use the type of solution recommended by your optometrist and to carefully follow the instructions on the label or given to you by the optometrist. The cleansing/storage liquid must be changed with every use or at least once a week if you are not wearing the lenses.
Prescription validity

Like all prescriptions, your contact lens prescription is valid for one or two years (or less, if your eye condition requires more frequent monitoring by your eye care professional). This means you can order contact lenses up to a year after your prescription is issued. After that, you must see the optometrist to ensure your eyes are healthy and in good shape and that the prescription is still comfortable and optimal.
What if my eyes are abnormally red or uncomfortable?

ItÂ’s not unusual to occasionally experience some discomfort with contact lenses (allergies, a dry environment, a minor infectionÂ…). If this occurs, or if your eyes are a little red, you should take out your contacts and wear your glasses for a while, to let your eyes rest. If your eyes are still not better after three or four hours, especially if they hurt or feel more sensitive to light, you should consult an optometrist or doctor immediately. You should always have a pair of glasses with an up-to-date prescription that you can depend on when you need them. This can help you avoid many problems.
Comfort drops

From time to time, people who spend time in dry environments (offices (computers), ventilation systems, cars, etc.) may need to use comfort drops that are specially designed for contact lens wearers. Ask your optometrist to recommend the best product for you. Avoid drops for red eyes, which can be irritating and which create a dependency when used regularly.

Contact lenses are prescribed by the optometrist based on the specific parameters of your eyes. Compliance with instructions and regular replacement are the only way to ensure good eye health and avoid serious eye problems related to wearing contact lenses. You should never wear lenses that are not specifically adjusted for your eyes by an eye care professional, because even a lens that feels comfortable may endanger the health of your eyes.
